Flood Update: Issaquah Creek Has Crested

The City's Public Works Operations crews continue to work around the clock responding to flooding issues.

While Issaquah Creek has crested, it remains in a flood stage. Current weather forecasts indicate rain will continue, but is not anticipated at previous rates. Check back for updates, however, in case conditions change.

The City’s Public Works Operations crews continue to work around the clock responding to flooding issues. Do not walk, wade or drive in flooded areas.

If you are caught in your building by rapidly-rising waters, call 911 for help and then move to a higher floor. Take warm, weatherproof clothing, a flashlight, cell phone and radio with you.

Road closures/updates

  • Newport Way Southwest between Front Street South and Wildwood Boulevard Southwest is closed.
  • Newport Way Northwest is closed between Northwest Oakcrest Drive and state Route 900 due to debris/tree on roadway.
  • Both directions of Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast are closed at Southeast May Valley Road.
  • State Route 900 is closed from Northwest Talus Drive to Southeast May Valley Road.
  • There’s deep water over the roadway at Sycamore Drive Southeast near the Issaquah Creek bridge. Emergency personnel do have access to the Sycamore neighborhood. If you need help, call 911 (emergency) or 425-837-3200 (non-emergency).

Sand and Bags

A station of free sand and bags is available at the Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd S. To request the delivery of sand and bags, call 425-837-3470.

To report stormwater issues, call 425-837-3470.

Issaquah School District

All Issaquah School District schools will start two hours late Feb. 7 due to flooding impacting roadways across the district.
