GeekWire.com's Geek of the Week is Jeff Shuey, a Sammamish Guy who was a Unix SysAdmin

He works for Kodak and focuses in Microsoft's business collaboration and portal technology, GeekWire.com reports.

We at Sammamish Patch are fully aware that the city of Sammamish has many bright, talented residents.

From people who work at technology startups to legacy companies, Sammamish is home to residents who know how to make businesses hum. Really, we understand.

In that spirit, our friends at GeekWire.com have named Sammamish resident Jeff Shuey as the technology website's Geek of the Week.

In some places, people would run from that title. Out here - in the West and especially in the Seattle area - it's embraced.

Shuey works for Kodak as a Director of Business Development. Specifically, he specializes in the Enterprise Content Management space.

And he focuses on Microsoft’s business collaboration and portal technology, GeekWire.com reports. Over there, they've dubbed him a "SharePoint guru."

What geeky things has he done? From the GeekWire.com interview:

I built my kids a pirate themed playset when we lived in California – with crenulations, a spyglass and a climbing rope ladder. My wife told me my Skull & Crossbones Converse hightops were particularly dorky (not so much geeky).

The technology website also asked him what he preferred: A transporter, time machine or cloak of invisibility. Here's his answer - it's a good one:

It’s got to be a Time Machine. Because a Time Machine includes the capabilities of a Transporter.

Did we mention that he once had an Apple IIe and then upgraded to an IBM XT?

All of this shows that for many Sammamish residents, the wheels are always in motion.

In a way, with human capital as the vehicle to push the country's productivity curve, those wheels always have to be moving.

Yes, it exists.
