Here's a quick rundown of some upcoming events (I'll add more events soon as I learn about them):

Tuesday evening: Let your tastebuds enjoy chocolate at an event for Sammamish Chamber of Commerce members. Cost: $15 at the door.

Friday: There's a father-daughter Valentine's Day ball at 6 pm in Redmond. Cost: $30. Location: Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. One option: A daughter can bring favorite uncle or grandfather.

Friday, Feb. 18: Come swing dance at the Sammamish Family YMCA. Cost: $5.

Friday, Feb. 25: Drop by Eastlake High School for an improv comedy session and auction. Cost: Free.

Sunday, Feb. 27: Sammamish Symphony Orchestra performs the concert, “Rachmaninoff,” at Eastlake High School Cost: Tickets required.

Sunday, Feb. 27: Sammamish Heritage Society holds a fundraiser, including three-course Italian lunch and music. Cost: $25 per person. Register by Feb. 23. Money goes to support the Reard/Freed farmhouse.

Friday, March 18: Attend the SAMMI Awards, which honor those who have helped to make Sammamish the city that it is. Cost: Suggested donation of $5 per person.

Saturday, March 19: Faith in Action holds an auction and dinner to help senior independance. Cost: $65 per person.
