Happy Father’s Day From Jennifer Heidy

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their father and let us deliver it. This is Jennifer Heidy's letter to her dad:

To the man I’m lucky to call my dad,

Dad, I don’t even know where to begin. There are no amount of words that could ever come close to expressing how grateful I am to call you my father. Since the day I was born, you have always put me first, and I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me over the years. I cherish every single moment and experience we have had with each other, from helping you on your job sites to you teaching me how to ride a bike and drive, playing sports, dance recitals, hiking adventures, vacations, talking about life and bonding more and more as I get older.

You are and always will be someone that I have looked up to and see as a role model. I’d be the luckiest girl in the world if I get to say “I do” to a man with half your qualities, love and support. Thank you for always being there when I need a shoulder, for encouraging, supporting and loving me unconditionally. I really was blessed being brought into this world to you and Mom. You have given me a life that I appreciate and love more than you will ever know. I look forward to cherishing many more moments with you and hope you know how much I love you and appreciate you. Love you this much, this much, this much, this much, to infinity and beyond — always and forever no matter how old I am, your little girl.
