Issaquah 7th Grader Wins State Geography Bee
Now Warren Huang will go on to compete in the National Geographic Society Bee in Washington D.C. in May.

ISSAQUAH, WA — What do you know about the Mayan ruins located in Chiapas, Mexico? Probably not as much as Warren Huang.
The Pacific Cascade Middle School 7th grader won the Washington state 2019 National Geographic Geography Bee on March 29. The winning question was about those Mayan ruins, according to the Issaquah School District.
Huang beat just over 100 other students from Washington in the state championship, which was held at Highline College in Des Moines. And he was just one of four students from Issaquah in the competition.
