ISSAQUAH, WA -- School buses in Issaquah are now equipped with cameras to help catch drivers that pass buses while the stop paddle is activated. The school district has directly partnered with the King County Sheriff's Office, which will review footage of any possible violation and write a citation if someone violates the law. A ticket for illegally passing a school bus costs $419. Issaquah is the latest school district to implement a program like this, joining neighboring districts like Highline, Bellevue and Seattle.
