Late Night Weekday Closures Begin On Westbound State Route 18

Drivers heading west on SR 18 at night will need to plan some alternate routes this month, due to a repaving project near Snoqualmie.

SNOQUALMIE, WA — A repaving project will require the closure of westbound lanes on State Route 18, between Interstate 90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road, both this week and next week.

From Monday to Friday morning, lanes will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A second closure is scheduled to begin next week, following the same timeframe.

During the closure, state maintenance crews will grind and repave the stretch of road, including the Raging River Bridge, to keep the highway in good condition for years to come. The Washington State Department of Transportation encourages drivers to consider alternate routes, like Interstate 90 and State Route 900, if they need to travel during the closure hours.
