Each day, Patch gives you a peek at events around Issaquah and Sammamish

Is there a huge police raid at City Hall? No!
Join the City of Sammamish and the City of Issaquah for National Night Out. Each city's police departments will offer tips on emergency preparedness at block parties throughout the area, but police are also holding gatherings at city hall.
In Sammamish, various emergency response vehicles, learn safety tips, and visit with the police and sheriff's departments at Sammamish Commons, 801 228th Ave SE from 2-5 p.m. Two-time Guinness world record holder Louie Foxx and Radio Disney will be on-site with interactive entertainment.
In Issaquah, police will host an outdoor gathering featuring free food, giveaways, music and tips on everything from emergency preparedness to home security products. That event will be held from 5-7 p.m. on the steps of Issaquah City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way. The event occurs shortly before the latest Concerts on the Green performer begins to play.
Police are also encouraging citizens to bring their sensitive documents to be destroyed by a mobile shredding service for free.
