Pedestrian Injured In Issaquah Hit-And-Run, Suspect Flees
Issaquah Police searched the Olde Town area for hours Wednesday after a driver hit a pedestrian and ran away, investigators said.
ISSAQUAH, WA — Road closures were in place for several hours Wednesday as Issaquah police searched for a driver suspected of hitting a pedestrian and running away on foot. Police confirmed the investigation shortly before 3:30 p.m. and released a suspect description. According to Q13 News, the victim was walking with his spouse on the sidewalk when he was hit by an erratic driver and hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police searched the area with K9s and had assistance from the air from a King County Sheriff's Office helicopter. Closures on Front Street South, north of Second Avenue, were still in place at 5 p.m.

Officers urged neighbors to stay clear of the search zone and remain indoors if possible. Residents who see something suspicious, or a person matching the suspect description, are urged to call 911.
