Man Found At Popular Issaquah Trailhead Was Shot, Detectives Say
According to King County detectives, a man whose body was found near the Poo Poo Point trailhead Sunday morning suffered a gunshot wound.
ISSAQUAH, WA — A 52-year-old man whose body was found near the Poo Poo Point trailhead early Sunday was shot, King County investigators announced Tuesday night.
A 911 caller reported the body around 2 a.m. on Sunday, prompting detectives from the major crimes unit to open a suspicious death investigation and search the nearby area for evidence. So far, investigators have released only limited details and no information on the circumstances of the death or a potential suspect has been made available.
On Monday, Q13 News reported the King County Medical Examiner's Office had identified the victim as 52-year-old Daren Olin.

In a brief update from the sheriff's office Tuesday night, investigators confirmed that the man was found with a gunshot wound, elaborating only that detectives would "continue their work to determine the circumstances around this incident."
