Issaquah Protesters To Decry War With Iran At Rally
The Issaquah rally is one of hundreds organized around the country by liberal advocacy groups MoveOn and Indivisible.
ISSAQUAH, WA — Protesters are expected to take to the streets of Issaquah Thursday evening to rally against the possibility of the U.S. entering into a war with Iran.
The rally comes days after the U.S. airstrike in Baghdad that killed Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. In retaliation Iran attacked two U.S. military bases in Iraq.
Liberal advocacy groups MoveOn and Indivisible are behind the war protests in Issaquah and throughout the country. As of Wednesday afternoon, 291 protests had been organized, according to the rally's website.

"Trump's reckless action has needlessly endangered countless lives of U.S. troops, Iraqis, Iranians, and countless other civilians," organizers wrote on their website. "The devastation that a war with Iran could bring upon the earth and humanity cannot be overstated—millions of lives hang in the balance."
Protesters will meet Thursday at 5 p.m. on the four corners of Front Street and Sunset Way in Downtown Issaquah. Rally organizers are using the hashtag #NoWarWithIran.
