Sammamish, Issaquah Companies Recognized for Waste Prevention Efforts

The annual King County program honors local businesses and organizations that meet a series of environmentally friendly benchmarks.

Nine Sammamish and Issaquah workplaces have been honored by King County for their waste prevention and recycling efforts.

The annual Best Workplaces for Waste Prevention and Recycling honors local companies and organizations that meet a series of environmentally friendly benchmarks, such as offering reusable or compostable dishes in office kitchens and sending electronic invoices.

The following Sammamish and Issaquah workplaces made the list for 2013 (an asterisk designates companies that have been recognized five or more years in a row):

-Issaquah School District
-Lake Washington School District
-Outsource Marketing*
-PCC Natural Markets*
-Pogacha of Issaquah
-Rowley Properties Inc*
-Sammamish Montessori School
