Sammamish-Issaquah Forecast: More Rain, Then A Calmer Week Ahead
February is off to a soggy start, but a change in pace is in store after Tuesday. Here's the weather outlook for the rest of the week.
SAMMAMISH, WA — Western Washington is in for another day of trademark Pacific Northwest weather before quieter conditions return in the latter half of the week.
2021 is off to an unusually wet start, and the first two days of February are looking to keep the streak alive. The National Weather Service said Seattle logged 23 percent of its typical annual rainfall in the first month, achieving the eighth wettest January in 77 years of records. At least 21 days saw precipitation.

According to the latest forecasts, lowland rain and mountain snow will forge on Tuesday, with snow levels hovering between 1,500 and 2,500 feet into the evening. Some isolated thunderstorms may be possible, primarily along the coast, Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning Monday for the Skokomish River in Mason County, which is likely to recede below flood stage by Tuesday morning. Forecasters expect rain showers will linger through Tuesday night or Wednesday morning before clearing up and allowing for a little bit of sunshine.
Generally, the outlook beyond Wednesday remains calm, apart from a weak system that could bring a few more showers Thursday. The latest forecasts show dry weather and some clouds on Friday, kicking off a pattern lasting into next weekend.
