Sammamish, Issaquah Host Donation Drive Saturday

This Halloween, both cities will accept food and winter clothing donations to help those in need through the cold months ahead.

ISSAQUAH, WA — Sammamish and Issaquah families will have a chance to help the less fortunate this Halloween, by donating essential items to keep those in need warm and well-fed through the winter. As part of the "Mayor's Day of Concern," both cities will accept donations between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Donations can be dropped off at two drive-thru, no-contact locations:

Sammamish:
Central Washington University
120, 228th Avenue NE
Sammamish, WA 98074

Issaquah:
Our Savior Lutheran Church
745 Front Street South
Issaquah, WA 98027

Donors can choose from a list of accepted items, which will be given directly to the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank:

Urgent Needs (Non-expired, unopened items only)

  • Pasta sauce (small, medium; canned/plastic jars)
  • Cooking oil (small/medium bottles)
  • Boost or Ensure
  • Peanut butter and jelly (small/medium jars)
  • Hearty soups (such as Progresso, Chunky, or Campbell's - regular and gluten-free)
  • Spaghetti noodles (regular and gluten-free)
  • Canned pasta
  • Diapers (size 5, 6 and pull-ups)
  • Baby wipes
  • Feminine pads (smaller packs preferred)

Winter Gear Needs (New items only)

  • Outerwear coats
  • Raincoats / ponchos
  • Boots
  • Warm hats
  • Gloves
  • Thick socks
  • Thermals
