Sammamish Symphony Orchestra Hosts the 11th Annual Youth Concerto Competition!

Applications now available for the Eastside's only Youth Concerto Competition! Cash prizes for winners!

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, The Sammamish Symphony Orchestra will host the 11th Annual Youth Concerto Competition at Eastlake Performing Arts Center located at Eastlake High School in Sammamish, WA. The Sammamish Symphony Orchestra’s annual Youth Concerto Competition is designed to recognize and encourage outstanding young musicians. The Sammamish Symphony’s Youth Concerto Competition program has had a long history of success with well over 150 applicants spanning the last several years. Sammamish Symphony Orchestra is distinguished as the only Eastside orchestra offering young musicians an opportunity to showcase their talents and participate in a competitive musical process. Our Youth Concerto Competition applicants consistently include talented and exceptional young musicians from Western Washington and beyond.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Sammamish Symphony Youth Concerto Competition. This annual competition recognizes outstanding young musicians, 19 years and younger, who play the following orchestral instruments: woodwinds, brass, strings, harp, piano, classical guitar and voice.

The first place award includes a solo performance with the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra; cash prizes are also awarded for first, second and third place finishers. Application deadline is January 13, 2017.
