After nearly a week spent searching for a missing hiker, the sheriff's office announced the operation was suspended until further notice.

Since then, hundreds of volunteer search crews have looked for any sign of Brendon or his dog by land and by drone. On Monday evening, the sheriff's office said it suspended the operation, citing the number of hours spent searching amid dangerous conditions and extremely steep terrain.
After 2000 hours of searching and 366 Search and Rescue volunteers for the past 6 days, there has been no sign of Brendon or his dog. Due to dangerous conditions around 80 square miles of cliffs, the search is suspended but may resume if we get any additional information. https://t.co/8H9SbzAPr6
