UW Fraternity Volunteers To Improve Lake Sammamish Trails
12 Brothers took time to pot plants and on Jan. 16 and Lake Sammamish now has over 2,500 new plants to add beauty to the trails.
From UW Beta-Psi: On January 16th, 12 Brothers dedicated their day at the Lake Sammamish State Park towards potting plants at the park’s Greenway Native Plant Nursery. In total, Beta-Psi potted over 2,500 plants over the course of the day, with the help of the kids pictured below of course. This service event helps the Mountains to Sound Greenway organization to run their nursery at the park. After 1-2 years of growth these potted shrubs and trees will be planted in various parks and forests throughout western Washington.
We at the Beta-Psi Chapter of Kappa Sigma are grateful to Mountains to Sound Greenway for the opportunity to help in making our state of Washington greener.
