Video: The Not-Its! Perform Rock for Kids at Sammamish Library, Giving Families Bouncy Event to Attend

For at least the second time in recent months, the turned into a music venue of sorts on Saturday, as The Not-Its! - a Seattle rock band for kids - brought their tunes to the Plateau.

About 160 people arrived for the first of two performances. Kid bounced. Parents swayed. The Not-Its! rocked while sporting skinny pink ties and tutus.

The band's name comes from that game that kids play - tag. As in, when kids yell: "One, two, three. Not it!"

"We just found something that was kid centric that sounded kind of cute and we kind of voted on it and it worked," band member Danny Adamson said.

The band members said one of their goals is to provide kids and parents with a fun, energy-filled rock concert. Many of the band members have children.

Their next album, "Tag, You're It," is scheduled to be released on June 28. In addition to Adamson, who plays guitar, the other members are: Nori Hoeft (bass), Mike Bayer (drums), Tom Baisden (lead guitar) and Sarah Shannon (lead vocals).

Shannon once was a member of Velocity Girl, an indie band in the 1990s which hailed from the Washington, D.C. area.

On the band's website, members also have posted many fun items, including a karaoke lyrics and coloring book section.

In March, another band for kids - Caspar Babypants - made an appearance at the Sammamish Library. Kids bounced. And parents swayed and danced.
