Washington Extends Camping Reservations To November

Amid higher-than-normal demand, Washington is extending the reservation window for many state campsites and cabins through Nov. 1

OLYMPIA, WA — Campsites and cabins at several Washington state parks will be available to reserve for an extra month this year, amid higher-than-normal demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, officials announced this week.

Typically, the state's camping season ends Sept. 30, and reservations are not accepted after Sept. 15. This year, both windows will remain open until at least Nov. 1 at the following parks:

  • Bay View — campsites and all cabins
  • Beacon Rock — campsites
  • Belfair — campsites and cabins
  • Birch Bay — campsites
  • Camano Island — campsites and cabins
  • Cape Disappointment — campsites
  • Illahee — campsites
  • Lake Sylvia — campsites
  • Larrabee — campsites
  • Manchester — campsites
  • Millersylvania — camping extended to year-round
  • Moran — campsites currently open at 50% capacity
  • Penrose Point — campsites
  • Potlatch — campsites
  • Rainbow Falls — campsites
  • Rasar — campsites and cabins
  • Scenic Beach — campsites
  • Sequim Bay — campsites
  • Spencer Spit — campsites currently open at 50% capacity
  • Twanoh — campsites
  • Twin Harbors — campsites

Campers are encouraged to plan ahead and make reservations early, rather than showing up and hoping for a spot. Making reservations online or by phone also minimizes in-person interactions with park staff to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, officials said.
