Semi Fire Near North Bend Partially Closes Interstate 90
A fire gutted a semi-truck Tuesday morning, sending one person to the hospital and prompting the full closure of westbound lanes.

NORTH BEND, WA — A major semi-truck fire sent one person to the hospital Monday morning and blocked multiple lanes on Interstate 90, just east of State Route 18.
Washington State Patrol blocked all westbound lanes, near milepost 27, shortly after 9 a.m. Troopers said the semi's passenger was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The patient's condition was not immediately available.

According to WSP, one westbound lane reopened before 10:30 a.m., and a cleanup effort in the area continued.
