City, Fix Charleston To Host Drive-Up Rabies Vaccine Clinics

The City of Charleston and Fix Charleston have partnered to host free rabies clinics for Charleston dogs and cats on Thursday, May 20 and Thursday, June 17. The clinics will take place at Patrick Street Plaza, 1701 4th Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 100 rabies shots will be available at each event. If all shots are allotted before the end of the clinic, vouchers will be given for future events.

“We are happy to partner with Fix Charleston to provide free vaccinations for our furry friends,” said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin.

“Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association values our partnership with the City of Charleston and appreciates their dedication to the citizens and animals of the city,” said Executive Director Bethany Hively

The drive-up clinic is open to Charleston residents and up to two shots will be given per family/vehicle. All dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers. All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, and masks must be worn.

Fix Charleston will provide additional services including parvo vaccinations, Bordetella, FVRPC and microchipping for a fee.
