Multifest Road Closure Notice From City Of Charleston
Multifest celebrations will affect traffic on both sides of the Kanawha River from Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4.
From the City of Charleston: Multifest celebrations will affect traffic on both sides of the Kanawha River Friday, August 2 – Sunday, August 4. From Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. through late evening on Sunday, August 4, Kanawha Boulevard will be closed between Capitol Street and Clendenin Street.
During fireworks on Saturday, August 3, traffic on the south side of the river will be affected. MacCorkle Avenue will be closed between Porter Road and U.S. 119, starting at 6:00 p.m. Thayer and Ferry Streets, the South Side Bridge and Loudon Heights Road between the South Side Bridge and Grosscup Road will also close at 6:00 p.m. in preparation for the fireworks show. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic will be prohibited on MacCorkle Avenue within the road closure for the safety of citizens and event staff.
