Pet Food Giveaway To Take Place In Honor Of CPD Patrolman Cassie Johnson In Charleston City
All volunteers will wear masks and will load supplies into vehicle trunks to avoid direct contact with those picking up items.

Greater Good Charities & Chewy have donated $15,000 in pet food and various pet care items to give away in honor of fallen CPD Patrolman Cassie Johnson. The event will take place Wednesday, December 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the U-Haul located at Patrick Street Plaza. This drive-thru event will take place with social distancing guidelines in place. All volunteers will wear masks and will load supplies into vehicle trunks to avoid direct contact with those picking up items.

“The Charleston Police Department has been moved by the number of people that want to honor Cassie’s memory,” said Chief of Police Tyke Hunt. “This donation from Greater Good Charities and Chewy will continue to provide for animals across our community.”
Cars should enter the U-Haul parking lot from 4th Avenue to get in line for the distribution.
