West Virginia Local News Meteorologist Accused Of Shoving Anchor

The WSAZ anchor reportedly suffered a skull fracture and a ruptured eardrum.

CHARLESTON, WV — A meteorologist for a local West Virginia news station is accused of shoving a colleague who reportedly suffered a skull fracture, according to a report in the Charleston Gazette-Mail.

The newspaper reports that the meteorologist, 26-year-old Chelsea Ambriz, was charged with misdemeanor battery. According to the paper, Ambriz was charged in relation to an altercation that occurred Sunday with an anchor on WSAZ.

In addition to a reported skull fracture, the anchor also had a ruptured eardrum, according to the Gazette-Mail.

Amrbiz is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
