2 Brookfield Businesses Destroyed In Industrial Fire

BROOKFIELD, WI—Two businesses were destroyed in a fire on Saturday, according to a news release.

The Town of Brookfield Fire Department was called out to a commercial building fire at on Saturday afternoon. Flames and black heavy smoke which was visible for miles.

Auer Steel and Innovative Signs, 21795 Doral Road, were completely destroyed in the fire.

There were no injuries reported.

The fire started in Innovative Signs and spread into Auer Steel. Due to the fire condition and extreme cold , the fire was quickly upgraded to a 3rd alarm. Crews battled the blaze for over two hours before bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

16 other fire departments from Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties assisted.
