Elmbrook Alum Will Launch Book At Milwaukee Book Store Wednesday
PhD and Elmbrook East alum Willa C. Richards will debut her novel in a virtual event hosted by Boswell Book Company.
BROOKFIELD, WI — An Elmbrook alum will talk about her debut novel, "The Comfort of Monsters," in a virtual event Wednesday with Milwaukee's Boswell Book Company.
Willa C. Richards is a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, a graduate from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and an alum of Brookfield East High School.
Richards' novel, "The Comfort of Monsters" is set in Milwaukee during the "Dahmer Summer" of 1991, the book company said. The story follows two sisters; one who disappears and one who is left to pick up the pieces, it added.

She will speak with UWM Professor Valerie Laken during the presentation, the book company said.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. over Zoom. Participants are welcome to register for the event.
