2020 Waukesha County Fair Canceled Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
The Waukesha County Fair is just the latest event to be canceled over the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, officials said.

WAUKESHA, WI — The 2020 Waukesha County Fair has been canceled amid coronavirus concerns.
"Looking back at the past few months, countless hours invested, and numerous alternate opportunities considered, this was quite honestly the hardest decision ever made – but we know it is the right one," Fair officials said Monday.
News of Waukesha's fair comes a week after the Wisconsin State Fair board said they were canceling this year's fair for similar reasons.

Waukesha County Fair officials said the evolving impact of the pandemic left too many unknowns and too many challenges to overcome.
"The ramifications of the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on our community, partners, businesses, families, and so many others far and wide during these unforeseen times is real," Fair officials wrote on Monday. "We recognize and understand exactly what so many are going through because we’re going through the same thing too. Our hopes are to know the heartache will fuel our planning and set our sights high for brighter days ahead in 2021."
