Luciana Romani “Lucy” Schwoch, of Brookfield, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at age 85.
She was born in Assisi, Italy on April 24, 1927 — the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Elisa (nee Sbicca) Romani.
Lucy was an avid skier, tennis player, golfer and trophy winning putter as well as a member of the certified ski patrol. She will always be remembered as a great Italian cook.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years, A. Darrell Schwoch of Brookfield, her son Robert (Hal Koenig) Schwoch of Bay View, nephews, Giuseppe (Laura) Romani of Montefranco, Italy and James (Mimi White) Schwoch of Evanston, IL, niece Heidi (Jeff Rammelt) Schwoch of Watertown, great-nephews Travis White-Schwoch and John Rammelt, great-niece Alessandra Romani, sister-in-law Harriet Schwoch of Watertown, along with other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her brother Alessandro Romani and her brother-in-law Glenn Schwoch.
Visitation will be held Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha. Burial will follow near the chapel.
