Armed Robbery Reported Near Brookfield Square

A man brandished a knife and demanded the victim's wallet.

BROOKFIELD,WI — An employee near Brookfield Square was approached by a man with a knife on Wednesday. The City of Brookfield Police responded to an armed robbery at 8:53 p.m. outside a business in the area of Mooreland Road and Bluemound Road, according to City of Brookfield Police.

Police told Patch the victim was an employee of a nearby business and after stepping outside was approached by the man. He brandished a knife and demanded the victim's wallet. The victim went back into the business to report the incident. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man. The investigation into this matter is continuing, police said.

The suspect was 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing all black clothing.
