Bomb Threat At Brookfield Restaurant Unfounded: Police

Businesses had to be evacuated and traffic was rerouted while police investigated.

BROOKFIELD, WI — No explosives were found after police responded to a bomb threat at Fujiyama Restaurant on Bluemound Road Tuesday evening.

Police responded to the restaurant at 5 p.m. and surrounding businesses had to be evacuated and traffic was routed away from the scene.

Two people were taken into custody but police said they later found they were not involved in the incident.

Members of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit responded to the call as well.

The incident is not related to the recent events in Oconomowoc, police said. The department added that it will continue to investigate the incident.
