Brookfield Young Artists on Display at Wisconsin State Fair
Wisconsin Hills in Brookfield makes an artistic statement, with many students placing in the Wisconsin State Fair Young People's Art Exhibit, and one receiving a best in show.

State Fair officials announced the winners the 2013 Young People’s Art Exhibit, which showcases extraordinary art created by Wisconsin’s talented youth in grades 6 - 12, and Wisconsin Hills Middle School in Brookfield is well represented among them.
Kudos to:
- Michelle Liang 1st place and Best in Show, Junior division, Self Portrait/Conte
- Alena Huang, 2nd place, Junior division, Cheetah/scratch board
- Kiley Smith, 2nd place, Junior division, Self Portrait/conte
- Brandon Cimbalnick, 1st place, Special needs division, Scary Dude/mixed media mask
The winning pieces were among 467 submissions for the Young People's Art Exhibit at the fair. More than 85 awards and $3,300 in prize money was awarded, according to a release from Wisconsin State Fair.

Winning artwork will be on display in the lobby of the Wisconsin Exposition Center during the 2013 Wisconsin State Fair, Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 11.
