BROOKFIELD, WI — The fate of "Saloonfest 2" will be decided Tuesday night during a Common Council meeting Tuesday night.

Dave Dayler, owner of Saloon on Calhoun with Bacon, applied for a temporary use permit to hold a live music event for 10 consecutive days in April.

The proposed event will take place from June 24 through July 3, during the "same calendar days as the traditional Summerfest," according to the license application. The event will have live music played both outside and indoors with an anticipated attendance of 200-800 people each day.

In a Facebook post, the Saloon on Calhoun encouraged neighbors to attend the meeting at Brookfield City Hall on Tuesday. "We would LOVE to have our community, neighbors and patrons come... to show support for our pending event," the post said. "People will have the chance to speak at this meeting and anyone who wants to say something can. For or against."

In his letters to the city, Dayler said that the portable audio system outside will be directed in a way as to not create a noise disturbance for neighbors.
