Brookfield Girls And Boys Track And Field Excel In Sectionals
Teams from Brookfield East and Central high schools qualify for state championship.
BROOKFIELD, WI — Track and field teams from Brookfield East High School and Brookfield Central High School scored first place in the sectionals Thursday and will move into championship competition.
The Brookfield Central girls track and field team won the Division 1 sectional with 124.5 points. Wisconsin Lutheran High School came in second with 86 points.
The Brookfield East boys track and field team won with 92 points over Wauwatosa East High School, which came in second with 82.

Both teams competed in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association sectional competition at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis.
The Division 1 boys and girls teams will next compete in the association's 2021 State Track and Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday.
