Brookfield Girls Lacrosse Headed to State

After beating Arrowhead 9-6, next up is the state tournament on Saturday in Whitewater.

The Brookfield Girls Lacrosse team defeated Arrowhead, 9-6, in regional playoffs Wednesday and are headed to the state tournament in Whitewater on Saturday.

The Brookfield coop team between East and Central High Schools was ranked 7th in the state with a 11-6 record when it knocking off 2nd-ranked Arrowhead (15-7).

Brookfield made it to regionals by edging past the University School of Milwaukee Wildcats, 12-11, on Saturday, and knocking off the Mukwonago Indians, 18-10 on May 30.

Seniors on the team are Meredith Klinker, Kasey Derda, Erica Engstrand, Sammie Apple, Christina Lindop, Jordan High (Captain), Emily Harrington, Grace Barlow (Captain) and Jessica Foley.
