Brookfield Public Library Giving Away Gardening Seed Packets
Low-growing plants like blue aster and butterfly weed seed packets are being given away at nearby public libraries.
BROOKFIELD, WI — Brookfield Public Library is one of nearly 70 libraries in southeastern Wisconsin giving away seed packets for pollinator-friendly plants.
Libraries in Dane, Brown, Dickinson, Jefferson, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties are giving away packets of blue aster and butterfly weed seeds supplied by the American Transmission Company.
These plants are low-growing and can be planted near transmission lines. They also attract pollinators like birds, bees and butterflies.
