ELM GROVE, WI — Going to the family cottage up north in Wisconsin is a tradition for many families. A local financial planning firm is hosting an educational class to help families sort things out when ownership of that cottage is passed from one generation to the next.

"One beneficiary might not want to go there at all, one might want all the best holidays, and one might not have the money to help offset expenses," Nathan Schacht, of Annex Wealth Management wrote. "Arguments and family squabbles can develop from even the best of intentions. The good news is that some of this discord is avoidable with proper planning."

Members of the public are invited to join Annex Wealth Management’s financial experts as they discuss some ways to make a smooth transition from generation to generation with a vacation home. There is no cost to attend the event.
