Elmbrook Education Foundation Announces Circle of Friends at Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts

The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) announces the sixth annual Circle of Friends, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual and Schlifske Family Foundations, to be held at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, on May 6, 2021, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Circle of Friends brings together Elmbrook students showcasing innovation from their respective schools, area restaurants offering a diverse assortment of food for attendees, and members of the Elmbrook school community who will be raising funds to benefit the district. CDC guidelines will be followed to ensure the safety of our guests and presenters.
Matt Kons, Circle of Friends Chair, said, “Circle of Friends is our annual opportunity to showcase the talents of our Elmbrook students while allowing the community to interact with our renowned Innovation Stations. Join us to enjoy the best of Elmbrook restaurant dishes while raising money together to support the Elmbrook music programs.”

Proceeds from Circle of Friends will go towards the repair and replacement of large musical instruments throughout the Elmbrook schools and provide instruments to families who may not otherwise be able to afford the costs associated with rental.
Roughly one in three Elmbrook students participate in their school’s music programs, and Elmbrook is the only district in the region that offers band and orchestra at 4th grade and supports individual student development with small group lessons through 8th grade.

EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Elmbrook School District high school graduates. In 1999, the Foundation's mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over
$1,300,000 in scholarships and $425,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the District's budget.
