The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) announces the conclusion of the first-ever Thank-You Thursday initiative. This program was designed to show appreciation to the District of Elmbrook staff during the months of February and March, 2021. Community members, alumni, Elmbrook staff, parents, and students were asked to nominate those staff members who have made a difference in their life.

Beth Dobrzynski, Elmbrook Education Foundation Executive Director, said, “We received almost 1,000 nominations of staff members to be honored during the months of February and March, 2021. It was an opportunity to say thank you to our administration, teachers, bus drivers, lunch ladies, custodians, school nurses, counselors and more.”

After the nominations were closed on February 12th, each Thursday from mid-February through the end of March, the EEF, in partnership with The Corners of Brookfield, randomly selected nine nominees to be awarded a $25 The Corners of Brookfield gift card. The program will end on March 25 with EEF members delivering fresh coffee and treats from Goddess and the Baker to all schools, the district office, buildings and grounds, and the bus depot.

Chelsea Roessler, Director of Marketing and Experience at The Corners of Brookfield, said, “Teachers and staff at Elmbrook School District fill up our community with education, love, and support. We thought it fitting to treat them to sweets and coffee on the last day of the program, to help fill them up for the day!”

Jim Garafalo, CFO of Goddess and the Baker, said, “There is no better time than now, to make those working at the Elmbrook School District know how much we appreciate the hard work they put in every day. We hope they enjoy our custom Goddess Breakfast Boxes, and we are able to put a smile on their faces.”

EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Elmbrook School District high school graduates. In 1999, the Foundation's mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over $1,300,000 in scholarships and $425,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the District's budget.
