BROOKFIELD, WI—Voters in Wisconsin will be headed to the polls Tuesday, April 6 for the 2021 election. There are several key races at the state and local level including contested school board races.

Voting In Brookfield

Returning your mail-in ballot:

  • USPS Mail Return: The ballot must be received back by no later than Election Day in order to count. The Postal Service advises at least 2-5 days for local delivery and longer for out of the area delivery.
  • Personal Delivery Return: You may personally deliver your ballot to the Clerk's Office at City Hall during regular business hours at 2000 North Calhoun Road, Brookfield WI 53005. Note the “return to address” is listed on the envelope. Our regular Office hours are weekdays (M-F) 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Don't return your absentee ballot to the polls as they are processed at a Central Count Location.
  • SECURE DROP BOX RETURN: You may drop your City of Brookfield absentee ballot enclosed inside the completed return envelope, into the City of Brookfield's Payment Drop Box located on the east side parking lot that runs between the back of City Hall and Brookfield Central High School at any time between now and 7 p.m.., on Election Day. This drop box is secured and under camera surveillance. It is checked daily.
  • On Election Day it is checked multiple times during the day with the last check occurring at 7 p.m. This is the ONLY secure drop box utilized for City of Brookfield absentee ballots. Do NOT drop your absentee ballot in any other non-City of Brookfield drop box.
