Elmbrook Church Collecting Food, Cleaning Supplies for Food Banks
Saturday drive-through collections to be held at Brookfield, Lake Country campuses from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Brookfield, Wis. – As local food banks and shelters face a surge of demand driven by COVID-19 economic disruption, Elmbrook Church will again collect food and cleaning supplies Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for donation to these organizations helping people in need.
Drive-through donations can be made at either the Brookfield campus, 777 S. Barker Road, or Lake Country campus, 1100 Highway 83, Hartland. Safety precautions will be enforced – donors need only leave items in outside collection bins. Volunteers will pick them up shortly after.
The collection drive welcomes shelf-stable foods such as canned meats, soups and pasta, boxed meal kits, granola bars, fruit juice, packaged fruit, sandwich bread, and baby food and formula. Needed non-food items include cleaning supplies, paper goods, garbage bags, facemasks, AA or AAA batteries, puzzle books, socks and personal hygiene items.

An early April collection at the Elmbrook campuses garnered more than 10,000 donated items.
"We see the current challenges of homeless shelters and food pantries to remain open to the most vulnerable in our communities,” said Tami Clark, Guest Relations Director at Elmbrook’s Brookfield location. “Our drive-through food and supply collection is a way for our church family to help care for those in need."
