Wildcard Gymnastics Dominates AAU National Event
Gymnasts at Wildcard Gymnastics in Brookfield won a total of 50 Gold Medals at a national tournament in Wisconsin Dells. Gymnasts as young as age three took home the gold.
in Brookfield won a total of 50 Gold Medals at a national tournament in the Wisconsin Dells last weekend — the most first place finishes of all Wisconsin teams participating.
At the 2012 AAU Gymnastics Age Group Nationals, Wildcard Gymnastics' youngest competitor, 3-year-old West Fowler won the Free Running and Speed Running competitions for his age group, as well as the national title in the Level 3 Boys competition.
Owen Mantz got the gold on floor, pommels, vault, and in the all-around for Level 4. Teammate Myles Mayer won rings, parallel bars and high bar. Level 5 gymnast Bryce Willems earned gold for his rings routine. Reed Burzynski won golds on every event and the all-around and earned the highest all-around score of all Level 6 competitors.

Level 3 girls gymnast Ava Collyard won vault, bars, beam and all-around. Emily Grining, age 4, claimed gold on vault, bars and all-around. Ella Johnston-Fodor earned a national championship with her floor routine. Eden Rader won the Level 4 first-place medal on bars, floor and all-around. In Level 6, Emma Sachs, age 8, captured titles on bars, beam and all-around.
From Wildcard's optional teams, Mackenzie Pollesch won balance beam and Mary Missiaen won vault and floor in the Advanced Modified Optional level. Hallie Fowler, who holds nine gold medals, took home the National Championship title for her bar routine.

Andrea Gross, Wildcard's graduated senior, became AAU National Champion on vault, bars, and all-around in her final competition as a Wildcard gymnast. Next fall she will attend Hamline University in Minnesota and compete as a member of Hamline's gymnastics team.
Two of Wildcard's coaches competed in the Ladies' Division. Alex Schmidt brought home medals as a ladies' level 8 and Alison Fowler won her second national title at these championships.
