Jose’s Blue Sombrero In Brookfield Temporarily Closed Due To Fire

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD - Jose’s Blue Sombrero, located at 20371 W.Bluemound Rd., in Brookfield is currently closed due to a fire on Tuesday evening, according to a news release.

The Town of Brookfield Fire Department was called after an employee notified the fire department at 5:15 p.m., that there was smoke in the kitchen and it was getting worse.

When firefighters arrived, they found customers evacuating the restaurant and the inside filled
with smoke. Firefighters had a difficult time locating the fire due to the fact it was inside a wall separating the two cooking areas. The fire was contained to this area and did not spread.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the restaurant is currently closed, the release said.

Fire departments from the City of Brookfield, City and Village of Waukesha, New Berlin, Elm Grove and Pewaukee also were on location to assist. There were no injuries to the firefighters or people, according to the release.
