Kmart to Close its Doors
The retailer will shut down its Brookfield location in mid-December.
The Brookfield Kmart store at 18200 W. Blue Mound Road will close its doors on Dec. 15.
Employees were notified of the closing last week, according to an article on JSOnline.com, and the store will start its liquidation sale on Sunday.
Store officials said they closed the location because the lease was not renewed, the article said. Kmart has gone from have 33 stores to just 28 in Wisconsin since 2012.
