Last Chance: Open Enrollment Deadline, Drug Collection

Is your desk full of papers with too many things to remember? "Last Chance" aims to help. It will remind you of important things ending soon. Contact us if you know of an upcoming deadline you don't want people to miss!

"Last Chance" is Patch's way of breaking throughing the digital noise (or your cluttered desk and kitchen counter) and saying: "Warning! This is about to end. Put it on your front burner now!"

Some deadlines this week:

Registering for open enrollment

Sunday is the deadline to register to enroll your children in a public school district other than your own, under the state's open enrollment progam.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. April 30. Details, including a form, are on the state Department of Public Instruction website.

Getting rid of unused or expired medications

Saturday is the day to bring prescription and over-the-counter medications for safe and proper disposal. The Waukesha County Drug Free Communities Coalition is holding a drug collection drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at seven locations, including the Brookfield Recycling Center, 19700 Riverview Dr.
