Letter to Editor: Obama Has Failed at Jobs Creation

Brookfield woman says the real divide in America is not wealth and poverty but those who have jobs and those who don't. Giving President Barack Obama more time isn't going to fix that problem, she says.

Letter to the Editor:

Instead of using the measurement of money to create a divide between the supposedly rich and the poor, which is being used to divide America, it is really a case of those with jobs and those without. If you have a job and earn a livable wage a person is not poor. You may have less than other people do, but there is always someone who has more than you do. It has always been that way.

Recently, the Economic Freedom of the World: 2012 Annual Report released by the Cato Institute in conjunction with the Fraser Institute of Canada has shown that Hong Kong retains the highest rating for economic freedom, followed by Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Bahrain, Mauritius, Finland and Chile. The world's largest economy, the United States, has suffered one of the largest declines in economic freedom over the last 10 years, pushing it into 18th place.

President Obama has had his chance and giving him more time isn’t going to fix the problem. Just maybe he shouldn’t have concentrated so hard on being fair, making promises of taxing the rich and giving to the poor and spent some thought on giving a helping hand by providing jobs. We need to tackle the main point of what is ailing America. The citizens of America need jobs.
