Local Acts Rock Summerfest

Brookfield-based classic rock band Stray Voltage hits the new BMO Harris Pavilion Stage from 2:30 p.m. today until Led Zeppelin tribute band No Quarter takes over at 5.
Fresh off her high school graduation, rising Brookfield country pop singer-guitarist Nora Collins has performed throughout Summerfest, with her final act at the Tiki Hut at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Stray Voltage told its Facebook fans that the band was excited to play Summerfest: "New stages, some new material, a new face and great music that makes a cold beer taste so much better on a summer day! Hope to see you!"
The cover band cites as its influences: "AC/DC to ZZ Top — great crunchy classic rock that gets your blood pumpin."

Collins, who won the 2012 WAMI Rising Star Award and Wisconsin Texaco Country Showdown, says she is influenced by Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert. She played the Potawatomi Pavilion on the second day of Summerfest.
