Mock Fire Training To Be Held In Vacant Brookfield Hotel
The Corners donated use of the La Quinta Hotel to the Town of Brookfield Fire Department for two weeks of emergency response training.

BROOKFIELD, WI— The Town of Brookfield Fire Department will be using a vacant Quinta Hotel, for a two week active emergency training, according to a news release.
Prior to demolition of the hotel, The Corners of Brookfield donated use of it to the Town of Brookfield Fire Department for two weeks of active emergency response training.
On Wednesday afternoon, two crews from the Town of Brookfield fire department will respond to mock fire scenarios at the hotel, including implementing hoseline deployment and standpipe operations techniques, carrying 150-feet of hoseline through the hotel, and practicing other emergency response protocols.

Robert Gould, CEO of Brookfield Corners LLC told Patch:
“We are delighted to be able to support the training efforts of the Town and the City of Waukesha first responders in developing and maintaining their skills with the donation of these buildings before we perform demolition.”

IM Properties announced on March 31, the purchase of 4.25 acres comprising three parcels of land at the southeast corner of Bluemound Rd and N Barker Rd., in the Town of Brookfield, according to a news release.
The purchase includes the now-closed La Quinta hotel, KFC and Jose's Blue Sombrero properties, which will be demolished this spring.

IM has entered into an agreement with Marriott International in which IM will develop, own and operate a premium, full-service Tribute Portfolio hotel. The expected 140-room hotel will be located on the west side of Lord Street and will form part of the next phase of the mixed-use development, which IM is calling the West End. The hotel is scheduled to open by summer 2024.
