Mother Forgets 3-Year-Old in Walgreens, Drives Home Alone

Mom realized her mistake as soon as she got home and went back to the store to get her daughter.

A mother forgot her 3-year-old daughter at and drove home before realizing her mistake, police say.

A store manager called police at 6:30 p.m. Sunday to say she could not locate an adult for a 3-year-old girl found in the store, 2205 N. Calhoun Rd.

Five minutes later, the 36-year-old mother returned to the store. She said she had accidentally left her daughter behind and drove back to Walgreens when she got home and realized the girl was not in the car.

Police notified Waukesha County Social Services for review of the incident.
