Police Report: Furniture Deals & Steals Problems, Burglaries and Funny Money
The latest police calls also include $8,370 in stolen jewelry and long boarding in the road.

Police were called to twice within 90 minutes Sunday evening, while the business was operating a "going out of business sale."
About 4:15 p.m. an employee called police to get help removing a customer who was being disorderly, arguing over the price on a furniture item the business would not sell him. About 5:45 p.m. police were called back there to escort out a former employee who was refusing to leave and "slammed a customer's futon on the ground."

More counterfeit cash: , 15700 W. Blue Mound Rd., told police there were four counterfeit bills (three $50s and one $100) in a bank deposit made last week by a gas station located outside of Brookfield. Police notified the Secret Service.

- Someone smashed the main entrance glass door to enter Brookfield Vaccuum, 17000 W. Capitol Dr. overnight Friday, stealing $300 from a register, $100 from a coffee can, a Dell computer and a security system DVR.
- Someone pried open a sixth floor door to enter Gogolak Group, 1025 S. Moorland Rd. overnight Friday, also prying open an office door to steal 2 Gateway laptop computers.
Catalytic converter thefts: A $1,000 converter was stolen off a work van parked behind Digi Corp., 3315 N. 124th St., about 1 p.m. Friday. The owner of , 4375 N. 124th St., told police Friday that someone removed an $800 catalytic converter and oxygen sensor from a customers vehicle about two weeks ago. In both cases a tubing cutter was used to remove the converters. Video surveillance was being reviewed.
Stolen jewelry: About $8,370 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Buena Vista Drive sometime between Oct. 1 and 25. Police were investigating a potential suspect.
Keyed car: An employee fired from the Grecian Inn, 14375 W. Capitol Dr., will receive a municipal citation for criminal damage to property for allegedly returning to the restaurant about 4:30 p.m. Friday and scratching another employee's car.
Sexually explicit texts: A 48-year-old woman told police she got three sexually explicit texts from an unknown phone number. Police contacted the number Friday and a woman who answered denied sending the texts.
Garmin theft: Someone entered an unlocked company car and took a Garmin GPS and $4 in change from a lot in the 2300 block of N. 131st Street overnight Saturday.
White powdery substance: was found on a mailbox, a homeowner in the 1500 block of Valley Ridge Drive told police Saturday afternoon. It turned out to be white spraypaint. No other area mailboxes were damaged.
"Longboarding" in the road: Five males, ages 15 to 22, were warned not to skateboard or "longboard" in the road after a caller told police he almost struck one of them in the road near Brandywine Lane and Misty Mountain Parkway about 1 p.m. Saturday because they were hard to see.
Culvert grate theft: Someone stole an 18-inch-by-24-inch galvanized steel grate covering a drain culvert along the road in the 4300 block of N. 135th Street, a homeowner reported Saturday afternoon. The caller covered the culvert with plywood.
Rib theft: Two men caught stealing a pack of ribs from , 12735 W. Capitol Dr., were caught by police Saturday evening. One man, 29, was charged with state retail theft and resisting arrest, and a second, 45, was charged with party to the crime of retail theft and drug paraphernalia possession.
Missing girl turns self in: A 16-year-old girl at Brookfield Square mall said she was a runaway and was turning herself in because she had nowhere to go, about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Listed as a missing person through the Waukesha County sheriff's department, police contacted her father in Merton but he refused to take her back. Officers took her to a shelter care facility.
Shots fired? A woman told police she heard four gun shots, possibly from a small caliber rifle, about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the area near South 124th Street and West Greenfield Avenue. She wondered if someone might have killed a deer, but officers did not hear or find anything while investigating.
