Romney/Ryan Carries Town of Brookfield

Town of Brookfield voters chose Mitt Romney by a nearly two-to-one margin, with a town-wide voter turnout of 89 percent.

The Romney/Ryan ticket won 2,689 votes or about 65 percent of the Town of Brookfield vote, according to data provided by Town Clerk Jane Carlson. Barack Obama received 1,416 votes or 34 percent, with one percent for third party and scattering votes.

Tommy Thompson won 64 percent of the Town of Brookfield vote, with Tammy Baldwin picking up 34 percent and the remaining two percent for third party and scattering votes.

In the neighboring City of Brookfield, Romney garnered a slightly higher 68 percent of the city vote, compared to Obama's 31 percent.
